The Hunt Preserve
Sugar maple, white & yellow birch, white pine, spruce, balsam fir and cedar grow abundantly on the gently sloping hills that mold the topography of Grand Lake Hunt. Natural springs feed pools of water where deer, buffalo, and the occasional fox gather to slake their thirst. Permanent ground blinds and tree stands tucked strategically into the landscape afford shelter from elements and unobstructed views of the wild life. Mount Khatahdin, off in the distance, boasts its beautiful peak. The Hot Brook Lakes beckon with promise of bass, perch, and pickerel while woodpeckers hammer away nearby. It's a wild wonderful world and this is just the beginning.
