Welcome to the Preserve
The landscape of the hunt
Grand Lake Hunt sits in the Northern Maine woods, made up of gently rolling terrain with a mix of hardwoods and softwoods. Sugar maple, white and yellow birch, spruce, fir, cedar, and white pine provide thick cover in places, with natural openings and travel corridors through the woods.

The property includes natural springs, wet areas, and small pools that draw wildlife throughout the day. Underfoot, hunters can expect a mix of forest floor, moss, leaf litter, and uneven ground typical of this part of Maine.

Permanent ground blinds and tree stands offer solid shooting lanes and protection from weather while still requiring careful approach and patience. Shots are deliberate, not rushed.

On clear days, Mount Katahdin is visible in the distance. Several lakes and ponds sit nearby, and the surrounding area supports the same working-forest environment found throughout northern Maine. This is not manicured land. It’s a working, managed landscape.
