Moose Hunting
Maine is synonymous with Moose for good reason. We compete only with Alaska for the title "Largest Moose Population in the US". Standing a tall 7 feet high, Moose feature dark brown fur, long gangly legs, and a shoulder hump. Full size females average 800+ pounds and bulls average 1,100+ pounds. Bulls have large, palmated antlers that can weigh 40 pounds and are shed every year.

Here at Grand Lake Hunt we offer the opportunity to hunt this native animal in its natural habitat. Our main focus are Zones 11 and 5 although we can do others.
Moose Hunt Pricing
Moose hunt pricing is based on sex of animal and permit availability. All hunts are fully guided.
Hunts are subject to Maine’s annual moose permit system and seasonal regulations.

Seasons & Licensing
Free-range moose hunts are conducted in accordance with Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife (MDIFW) regulations, including season dates, legal methods of take, and licensing requirements.
A state issued hunting license and a moose permit are required. Moose licenses are distributed by a lottery.

Booking Deposit
A $1000 deposit is required to book all hunts and guarantee hunt dates. 90 days prior to your hunt this deposit becomes non-refundable. Cancellations made 30-90 days prior to your hunt allow us to move your reservation to the following year. 30 days prior to your hunt, deposits will not be refunded, and reservations will not be moved to the following year.
