Black Bear Hunting

A Maine Black Bear is a wily creature with eyesight as good as yours and a sense of smell seven times stronger than that of a bloodhound. Generally a reclusive animal, a bear will log many extra hours foraging in the fall. Their voracious appetite, caused by the annual change in metabolism and coinciding with our fall hunting season, is a boon for a hunter. Male Black bears weigh 120-600 lbs in the fall. Grand Lake Hunt will set the stage for your trophy bear hunt, the closing act is up to you.

Seasons & Licensing 

Free-range black bear hunts are conducted in accordance with Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife (MDIFW) regulations, including season dates, legal methods of take, and licensing requirements.

A state issued hunting license and a bear permit are required.​

Booking Deposit

A $1000 deposit is required to book all hunts and guarantee hunt dates. 90 days prior to your hunt this deposit becomes non-refundable. Cancellations made 30-90 days prior to your hunt allow us to move your reservation to the following year. 30 days prior to your hunt, deposits will not be refunded, and reservations will not be moved to the following year.
