White tail deer
Maine is home to one of the largest of the 30 recognized subspecies of white-tailed deer. Easily identified by their signature white tail, our adult bucks, range from 200 to 300 pounds live weight and generally stand 36 to 40" at the shoulder. White tail produce antler every year which transition from velvet to hard horn in late August/early September before being shed sometime after December. Grand Lake Hunt is an ideal base camp for your Maine White Tail Deer Hunt. We have 2,500 private acres of farm land and 1,000's of acres of wood company land and we are determined to get you set up for success!
